How to Hide Table Cells Without Leaving Blank Spaces

In Report Designer, you can hide specific Tablix cells to control the visibility of elements within your reports effectively. This feature is particularly useful when you need to dynamically show or hide elements based on certain conditions. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to hide Tablix members in advanced mode:

  1. Begin by selecting the table that contains the Tablix cell you want to hide. Click on the table to ensure it’s the active and selected element within your report.

  2. To access a broader range of settings and features, you’ll need to locate and activate Advanced settings. Simply click the ellipsis icon and choose Advanced from the menu that appears, as shown below:

  3. To hide a Table cell member from the advanced column group drop-down:

  • Select the static Tablix member in the column group drop-down.
  • In the control panel, uncheck the visibility property.

NOTE: By unchecking the Visible checkbox, the selected Tablix member will remain hidden until manually re-enabled. Alternatively, you can control the visibility dynamically by using an expression.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly hide table cells within Bold Reports without any unsightly gaps or blank spaces in your report.
