How to ignore SSL certificate validation errors in Bold Reports

Published:
Updated:

Overview

Bold Reports requires a valid SSL certificate to communicate with other internal services. If the SSL certificate is not valid or is self-signed, connecting to Bold Reports internal services will not be possible. To overcome this issue, Bold Reports provides an option to ignore SSL certificate validation errors in the administration section.

How to enable the ignore certificate validation error

  1. Log in with the Bold Reports admin account and navigate to the site settings.

  2. Below the Site URL field, you will find the option to ignore SSL certificate validation errors.

  3. Enable the checkbox and save the settings.

This will ignore the SSL certificate validation errors while connecting to the internal Bold Reports services.

We strongly recommend the use of a valid SSL certificate in production environments to mitigate security issues. Please refrain from disabling this setting unless absolutely necessary.
