Why Footer Information is Excluded in Excel Exports from RDL Reports

Published:
Updated:

When exporting RDL reports to Excel, the footer information is not included in the Excel export of the report. This behavior aligns with the Excel export functionality in the RDL standard.

Excel does not support the concept of pages like RDL does. In RDL reports, footers are specific to each page and include details such as the report name, page numbers, and date. When exporting to Excel, which presents a single continuous document without page breaks, including these footers would disrupt the data layout and insert repetitive, potentially confusing footer information throughout the spreadsheet.
