Enabling Filter Search for Parameter Values in Bold Reports

In Bold Reports, parameter values are essential for filtering data, offering dynamic and customizable reporting options. However, handling large lists of parameter values can be challenging. To streamline this process, Bold Reports offers the EnableFilterSearch feature, which allows users to quickly search and select the required values from the parameter lists.

This guide outlines the steps to enable the filter search function for parameter values, improving both the user experience and efficiency.

Steps to Enable Filter Search for Parameter Values

Follow the steps below to enable the filter search functionality for parameter values in Bold Reports:

  1. Open the Bold Reports Designer
    Launch the Bold Reports Designer and open the report to which you wish to add the filter search feature.

  2. Enable the Filter Search Option
    Click on the grey area on the report, in the Miscellaneous section, set the attribute EnableFilterSearch to true as shown in the image below.

  3. Save and Test the Report
    Save your changes and preview the report to confirm that the filter search functionality has been enabled.

    By default, the feature is not enabled.
