Connect YAML files in Bold Data Hub

Bold Data Hub now supports YAML files in addition to CSV, Excel, and JSON formats. This article outlines the steps to connect and use YAML files within Bold Data Hub.

Steps to Connect YAML in Bold Data Hub

  1. Create a New Pipeline
    Start by creating a new pipeline in the Data Hub interface.

  2. Choose Filesystem as Connector
    Select the filesystem as your connector and click on the “Add Template” button.

  3. Upload the YAML File
    Use the “Upload File” button to upload your YAML file.

  4. Select and Upload the File
    Click the “Choose File” button to select the file from your local system, then click the “Upload” button.

  5. Copy the Filepath
    After uploading, use the “Copy” button to copy the filepath of the uploaded YAML file. Please remove unused properties from template. The storage can be local or azure. If using local storage remove the account_key property and use storage property as local.

  6. Save and Schedule the Project
    Save your pipeline and set up a schedule for it if required.

  7. Check the Logs
    Navigate to the logs tab to check the logs for any updates or errors.

  8. Use the data source in Bold Reports
    The data source will be created using Data Hub can now be utilized in Bold Reports.

Important Notes

  • Before creating the project, ensure that you configure the destination credentials by navigating to the settings tab.
  • If the YAML file contains a nested structure, multiple tables will be generated based on that structure.
