Step-by-Step Guide to Connecting FairCom to Bold Reports via ODBC

This article explains how to connect FairCom to Bold Reports using the FairCom ODBC driver and a configured System DSN.

Prerequisites

  • Make sure the FairCom ODBC driver is installed. You can verify this by opening the ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit) tool and checking whether the driver name appears in the list.

Steps to Connect FairCom in Bold Reports

  1. Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit)
    Launch the ODBC Data Source Administrator tool and navigate to the System DSN tab. Click Add to create a new data source…

  2. Select the FairCom ODBC Driver
    From the list of available drivers, choose FairCom ODBC Driver.

  3. Configure the Data Source
    Fill in the required fields:

    * **Data Source Name**
    
    • Server Address
    • Port
    • Database Name

    Click OK to save the configuration.

Create a Report with the FairCom Data Source Using ODBC

  1. Add a New Data Source in Bold Reports Designer
    In Bold Reports Designer, open the Data panel and select ODBC as the connector type.

  2. Provide Connection Details
    Enter the connection information for the FairCom ODBC data source.

  3. Connect to the Database
    Click Connect to establish the connection.

  4. Design Your Query
    After connecting, the Query Designer opens. Enter your SQL query to retrieve data from the FairCom database.

  5. Finalize the Setup
    Click Finish to complete the setup and add the FairCom data source to your report.
