How to View and Render Reports in the Same Tab

By default, Bold Reports Server may open reports in a new browser tab. This article explains how to configure the server settings to ensure reports are rendered within the same tab, providing a more seamless navigation experience for users.
Steps to Configure Same-Tab Report Rendering
1. Open Admin Access
- Log in to your Bold Reports Server.
- Click the Profile icon located in the top-right corner of the Report Server homepage.
- From the dropdown menu, select Manage Sites.
2. Open Configuration Settings
- In the left-hand navigation panel, click Settings.
- Select Configuration.
3. Enable Same-Tab Report Rendering
- From the files dropdown, select
reporting/config.xml. - Locate the
SameTabReportRenderproperty and set its value totrue.
4. Save and Test the Configuration
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- Open a report and verify that it is rendered in the same browser tab.
