How to Use Page Numbers Within the Report Body in Bold Reports

Published:
Updated:

Adding page numbers directly within the report body is currently not supported in Bold Reports. Bold Reports processes reports in a specific order. The report body renders before headers and footers, where page breaks are finalized. This means using the built-in Globals!PageNumber expression in the body wouldn’t reflect the actual page it appears on.

Due to the report processing order, the Globals!PageNumber expression cannot be reliably used within the report body.

To address this limitation, RDL recommends placing page numbers in the header and footer sections. These sections are processed after the body, allowing them to access correct pagination information and ensuring the accurate display of page numbers.
