In Bold Reports, the ExportFileName custom property allows you to define personalized file names for exported reports. This helps maintain consistent naming conventions and enhances efficiency when managing multiple reports.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure the ExportFileName property in Bold Reports.

Steps to Configure the ExportFileName Property

  1. Access the report file you want to configure and in the Properties panel, go to the Miscellaneous section.
    • Locate the Custom Attributes option and click the Set Attributes button.

  2. Set ExportFileName Property
    • In the Custom Attribute popup dialog, add the ExportFileName property and specify the desired file name in the value field as shown in the below snap, then click OK to save the changes.

    • Property Name: ExportFileName
    • Example Value: custom_sales_report
    • This configuration sets custom_sales_report as the default file name when the report is exported.

Ensure to set your desired file names in the value field to have the default file names for the exported files.

  1. Preview and Export the Report.
    • Export the report in any format (PDF, Excel, etc.). The exported file will use the custom name defined in the attribute.
