Customizing the color palette of a chart in Bold Reports helps improve visual appeal and represent data trends more effectively. This guide explains how to use predefined palettes or define custom colors for chart series in the Bold Reports Designer.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access the Color Palette Property

  1. Open your report in the Bold Reports Designer and select the chart component you want to customize.
  2. Click the Settings icon to open the Properties Panel. Under the Chart Area category, locate the Color Palette property.

Step 2: Use a Predefined Color Palette

  1. Click the Color Palette dropdown menu.
  2. Select one of the predefined color palette options. The chart will automatically update with the selected palette.

Step 3: Define a Custom Color Palette

  1. Select the Custom option from the Color Palette dropdown menu.

  2. Click the Edit icon next to the Custom Colors property.

  3. In the Custom Colors Panel, click the ADD button to create a new color entry.
