Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1. Sort Data in the Chart Data Region
- Select the chart report item in the design canvas.
- In the Properties panel on the right, click the Data tab.
- Under the Column section, click the Settings next to the column field value, then select Sorts to open the Sort dialog box.
- In the Sort By dropdown, select the field you want to use for sorting (for example, ProductCategory).
- Choose your preferred order:
- Ascending (A-Z / 0-9): Organizes data from lowest to highest.
- Descending (Z-A / 9-0): Organizes data from highest to lowest.
Step 2. Preview the Changes
- Click the Preview button in the top toolbar.
- Verify that the chart categories or series are displayed in the configured order.
